Covering an area of 368 sq miles Dartmoor is one of Britain's best known
National Parks and an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Places to Visit in Dartmoor
Bellever Tor

Situated in the center of Dartmoor Bellever is a large Tor which is conveniently
placed near to the main road ideal for those who aren't to keen on long hikes.
Hound Tor

Another Tor that is close to the road Hound Tor is very popular with visitors and
abounds with legends and ghostly tales.
Clapper Bridge

One of Dartmoor's best loved places Clapper Bridge can be found in the village
of Postbridge and dates back to the 12th century. Crossing the East Dart river
it is made with large slabs of granite.
Burrator Reservoir
Surrounded by dense woodland Burrator Reservoir is a great place for a picnic, a
walk around the water or for cycling.
Princetown

The highest town on Dartmoor, Princetown is famous for it's prison which was
used to jail prisoners from the Napoleonic Wars and the American War of
Independence. There is a museum 150 yards from the prison that is open daily to
visitors which sells souvenirs many of which are made by the inmates of HMP
Dartmoor.
