Blackpool Sands near Dartmouth is one of Devon's most beautiful beaches, set against an idyllic background of Pine trees and cliffs the beach has an almost tropical feel. Although Blackpool sands is mostly a shingle beach it has sand pits, kayak, boogie board hire and a bathing raft. There is a lifeguard patrol during the summer season and a fresh water bathing pool for children.

Other facilities at the beach include a Cafe, toilets, parking and showers. Dogs are not permitted on the beach during the summer months.
